Overview
Content gap analysis identifies topics and keywords your competitors rank for that your site does not cover. Closing these gaps builds topical authority and captures search traffic you are currently missing. This worksheet provides a structured process for finding, evaluating, and prioritizing content gaps.
Step 1: Competitor Keyword Export
Export the top-ranking keywords for each competitor and your own site.

Step 2: Gap Identification
Keywords that at least 2 competitors rank for but you do not.

Gap Types:
- Missing: You have no content targeting this keyword
- Weak: You have content but rank significantly lower than competitors

Step 3: Opportunity Scoring
Score each gap to determine which ones to pursue.
Opportunity Score = (Volume / 1000) × (1 - Difficulty/100) × Gap Multiplier × Relevance Score
